History

Immaculate Heart of Mary School (IHM) was founded in 1948 by an inspired and motivated group of parishioners, led by Father Edwin Sahm, who gathered resources to build a parish school for neighborhood Catholic families. Today, the IHM student body represents several surrounding neighborhoods. IHM is committed to the highest standards of academic excellence, and dedicated to providing the best possible education for our students through the development of the knowledge, attitudes and skills essential for life-long learning. As a community grounded in Catholic faith, IHM strives to inspire in its students a global sense of understanding and compassion for others and the courage to act on their beliefs.

Commitment to Diversity

This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

IHM welcomes students of all faiths, nationalities and races and does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color or national and ethnic origin in educational, athletic or other school-administered programs. We pride ourselves on fostering a Christ-centered, family atmosphere, teaching our students to be good stewards of the Catholic faith. We are welcoming of others from all walks of life, race and color.

Meet our Administration

Pastor Fr. Pat Beidelman

Fr. Pat became the new pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary in the summer of 2023.  Prior to joining the IHM family, Fr. Pat served in a variety of assignments in the Archdiocese.  In addition to serving in several parishes, he also led one of the departments at the Catholic Center, the Secretariat for Worship and Evangelization.

Fr. Pat believes “our young people are not the future of the Church but rather are the Church now and inviting them to share their gifts and to connect their faith to every aspect of their lives are the foundation of our life in Christ in this community.”
